Connacht Track & Field Championships u13 – Senior

The Connacht  Track & Field Championships for the u13 to seniors took place in Athlone IT in June. The following medal winners on the track were,   Eoin Conaghan (third) u14, 200m; Arlene Earls (second) u14, 1500m, Darragh Headd (third) u15, 250m Hurdles; Maeve Farrell (first) u17, 300m Hurdles &  (second) u17, 100m Hurdles; Christopher O’Connor (first) u18, 5k Walk and Janic Schultz (first) u19, 110m Hurdles.

The medal winners in the Javelin were Emma Reynolds (first) u14, (23.35m); Lauren Stewart (third) u14, (18.26m); Stephen Doran (second) u14, (16.67m); Anja Quinn (second) u15, (15.09m) and Clara Doran (second) u16,  (11.7m).  

In the Long Jump  Eoin Conaghan (third) u14, (4.36m); Brendan Lynch (second) u15, (4.25m); Darragh Headd (third) u15, (4.13m);  Maeve Farrell (second) u17, (4.23m); Caomhan Conaghan (first) u19 (5.72m); Janic Schultz (second) u19, (5.56m). In the Triple Jump Caomhan Conaghan (first) u19, (11.88m).

In the High Jump Anja Quinn (second) u15 (1.40m); Caomhan Conaghan (first) u19 (1.85m) and Janic Schultz (second) u19, (1.70m).

Melissa Barrett took gold in the Senior Womens Discus and Javelin with Mary Barrett taking the silver medals and winning gold in the Shot Putt.

All medal winners will go on to compete in the All Ireland National Finals which will be held in Tullamore in July.
