Irish Life National Juvenile Indoors 2018

Loughrea Ac has a number of Athletes compete the Day 2 and 3

Day 2 was held on March 18th seen Darragh Fahy claim the National title taking Gold in the u12 60m sprint and a new pb of 8.41.

Caoimhe Farrell competed in the u14 high jump rounding off at a jump of 1.35M.

Samuel Ukaga competed in the U17 boys long jump on the day and finished with an impressive jump of 5.47M

Daniel Callanan Forde hit bronze in the U19 boys long jump with a jump of 6.28.

 

Day 3 of the National Juvenile Indoors was held on March 25th last.

Loughrea AC continued with marvellous success for Daniel Callanan Forde achieving a jump of 12.79M to claim gold and the National Title for 2018 in the Treble Jump

Caoimhe Farrell finished 3rd in her heat in the 60M U14 Hurdles, that was enough to see her through to the final where she finished agonisingly 4th with a time of 9.49, just behind 9.47 3rd place, margins do not come any closer. Well done Caoimhe.

Caitlin Griffin competed in the U14 shot put and had an impressive throw of 9.30M to be her best on the day, well done Caitlin.

Aoibhin Farrell ran in the 60M Hurdles.

Well done to all LAC competitors in day 2 and 3.

Day 1 rescheduled from March 10th will take place on April 7th. We have our U12 boys 4×100 relay team participating. So Best of Luck to Zach Lawless, Keegan Connaire, Eanna Cooney and Darragh Fahy.
